Default BBK longtubes

The bbk headers with matching y pipe are by far the easiest header install that I have ever done. I got up at 6 and finished by noon with common hand tools and no air. Got it out but didn't need it. I would recommend these headers to anyone on a budget. I got the chrome set from lm Performance for 350. And it took a will for them to get to me. I also got an egr block off plate from Ebay and mls gaskets for it. Driving without a tune right now and it can move damn good now.

Congrats on the install!
Did you happen to do motor mounts within those 6 hours, too?

Yeah if you want a full set of Prothane poly motor and trans mounts, I got mine from WS6Store for like $74.

As far as brands go, I hear a lot about the Prothane poly mounts and the Spohn solid mounts.

I've also heard that it isn't a good idea to do a poly trans mount with rubber motor mounts. Just in case you were considering it...

I should have done motor mounts. Wasn't thinking though. No way in heck would I ever run poly Trans mount way to much noise.

Not going to say you shouldn't do motor mounts; especially with those miles you'll want to eventually, but if you're just getting that tapping from the passenger side of the y-pipe, under light acceleration at low speeds, there is a heat shield down there that can be "manipulated" a bit, to put a stop to that noise. That's what the y-pipe is hitting when it vibrates.

I actually took that off when putting the headers in.

250.00 i worked at the dealer and he was a mechanic there at the time. He was actually messing with me telling me something broke and i shoould come out to look at it since it will be costly to fix. I did not expect him to have finished to quickly so i fell for his joke, lol. I go out to look and he was done.

Which state are you located in? Looking for a good place to get mine put in. Someone said 400 so far but seems a little steep.
