I replaced my alt with a gm unit and new belt , voltage has never been real high with the car .The only electrical add on is my external help fuel pump which im sure draws a good amount . But this morning my CD player , alpine unit plugged into my iPod shut off a few times , I pull into work and park it abs inop light was on and it wouldn't click for turn signal , wtf .

Is it possible the tensioner is weak and causing this , it has been jumping two teeth off the tensioner since last year and a brand new belt remedied that for a little while , 100 miles -200 miles but not it does it every once and a while .

Has anyone ever had a weak tensioner on their ls1 and caused this problem ?

The belt tensioner does deteriotate and should be replaced periodically. I check mine with every belt change.

also after last year , i didn't about 8000 miles it would squeak all the time and that's with only 8k on it .
