Default Elec cut/out install

Car is 2000 SS with LT's and no/cats 3 inch CB.
Looking at a QTP oval low profile cut out.
1. how are you guys running the wires for power?
2. Where are some locations for the switch ?
3. Is the QTP top of the line, or.........
Thx for the help.

just fished the wires up through the little plug in the floor board behind the passengers seat and under the carpet into the console. then i used a dremel and cut a hole in the ash tray and kept the switch hidden in there. works pretty good

I would go with a DMH cutout over a QTP everytime. And you shouldn't need a low profile cutout if you're putting it in the catback. The oval ones are better for dual cutout setups in the Y-pipe.

We would recommend the oval low profile if you want to do dual cutouts. But we do not recommend dual cutouts. Not much to be gained with duals over a single. We recommend a single 3". That would be on the intermediate pipe right before the rear axle.

You run the wire up in the drain plug right by the intermediate pipe. You snake it under the carpet to the armrest. You can get to the drain plug when you pull the rear seat cushion out. Its 1 bolt holding it in.
After its in the arm rest you can mount the switch anywhere you like. Just tap for power on any ignition wire and any ground source.

You might want to get out wireless remote. Makes the install easier since you do not have to drill and mount the toggle switch. Just have to tap for power and ground for the receiver box.

Here is the part numbers for your reference.

QTEC30CP-3" Valve, Wiring, Toggle Switch, Stainless Steel Y Pipe
11300-Optional 3" Turndown
10900-Optional Wireless Remote

And of course we are top of the line.
