Default Difference in SLP exhausts

I am looking to buy the slp loud mouth cat-back because my hooker cat-back is way to quiet. I noticed that theres the Loud Mouth and the Loud Mouth II. Whats the difference between the two?

Do you have Cats? If you don't, don't get the loud mouth. it'll be too raspy. But the loudmouth 2 will be alright.

They will both be raspy with longtubes and no cats. If you don't plan on doing headers, get the LM1. Also, people, like myself, replace the SLP resonator with a different type of bullet muffler, in my case the Borla XR-1.

The differences between them is the resonator. The LM1 has no baffling while the LM2 has some baffling.

To answer your question regarding the difference, they are exactly the same systems except for the "mufflers" on the LM1 the pipe is enlarged but there is NOTHING inside it. Where as the LM 2 is still a straight through design but it has some material inside the muffler that is suppose to restrict noise. Honestly I've heard both and there really isn't a ton of difference, either way it will be loud.

+1 for the LM1! I have it and I thinks it's the best sounding exhaust for a stock Fbody... My buddy has a Borla and he thinks mine sounds better than his... I dnt have LTs on mine yet so idk about the Rasp part.

I have the SLP Power Flo on mine, which is basically the LM2 with two mufflers mounted after the axle. I like the sound, especially after installing headers. Really woke it up.

Do you happen to have any sound clips?

I have a LM1 with ORY and LT's and I HATE it. WAY too loud.

The main question here is, are you still stock? If so... I have 2 sound clips for you.
My setup is as follows... all stock except for lid. Video one is stock manifolds, no cats, stock y pipe, LM1 to tips outback. Video 2 is stock manifolds, no cats, stock y pipe, LM2 dumped. Enjoy.

Not currently, but I'll put one together and post it up.

Here you go SLP PowerFlo on my stock car.
I have since tucked the Dual/Dual tips up tighter I know they're sitting a little low in the video, it was my first exhaust install.

I have my LM2 resonator dumped after my ORY. It got rid of the drone and the rasp. I'm adding a turn down "tip" though to see if I can get that rumble out from under the car
