cross drilling rotors?

Default cross drilling rotors?

So i have some new chinesium rotors that a buddy gave me in trade for some wiring work. I also have a drill press sitting right next to my new chinesium rotors,,, im thinking making my own cross drilled chinesium rotors. Anyone ever done this? yeah/neah?

I raced atv's back in the late 80's and always drilled my own rotors, with no problems, but I have no idea about an actual rotor for a car. I don't see why not, as long as they are decently soft material.

that's what i was thinking. Just make sure there are no burs and it should be good to go. im sure it will compromise the longevity in the chinesium. But hey they are chinesium so who really cares anyway

Ya I dnt see why not... But WS6Store has drilled slotted rotors for Dirt cheap... I run them with Hawks Ceramic.... Awesome setup.

Not a good idea, in my opinion. Just making cheap rotors even worse by decreasing rotor and pad life.

Ya true. Just get the WS6Store rotors with Hawks pads. Good value Great performance.

Cheap rotors drilled are just that, good for nothing but a 'look at me' if they get hot enough through racing the holes just lead to a place for a crack to start from. Be it blind holes or full.
Cheap rotors are crap.....get yourself a quality set of heat treated slotted rotors & some decent street/race pads.

Drilled rotors can and do crack unless they are cast. All you need is a good set of slotted rotors
