Trying to make a last minute decision to buy the relay kit or not. Its about $20 I could spend or save, is it worth it? Would I be ok to just wire it up the way it comes? Let me know what I should do. Thanks. By the way, whats the purpose of the relay kit, how does it work?

I always hook them up ussing a relay.The pump is powered by the battery(direct) and the relay is powered by the fuel pump circuit.Also for the track cars I use another relay controlled by a toggle switch so the pump can be run in the staging lanes with the key off.
