Default General exhaust diameter question

Quick question: I'm trying to connect a Pacesetter Y pipe (3 inch output (I assume OD)) to my factory catback (2.75" OD). So I want to connect 3" OD to 2.75" OD. Am I correct in assuming that I want a 3" to 2.75", ID to ID reducer? (such as walker 41687).

I'm assuming when the reducer says ID to ID, they're talking about the reducer itself, not the tubing I'm connecting to. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Brad
