Y-pipe depends on the headers.

I had a Borla on the car before headers. I went with Kooks 1 3/4" headers with their catted Y. Did the instal in my garage on jacks. I would reccomend Kooks or ARH for headers.

This. All y pipes will connect to any catback but not all y pipes will match all headers.

Rasp is a given with LT's and an ORY with free flowing catback. I have ARH 1-7/8" LTs and their ORY. I have rasp from 2000-2500rpm but thats about it.

Do you have the adjustable or non-adjustable catback? And if it is the adjustable one, then what plate are you using in it? LT's, with a catted y-pipe will have some rasp, and without cats it gets worse. Sounds good at WOT though.
