Question Crankcase Vent

I have a discussion about the Crankcase Vent. I know of guys other than LS1's that have had problems with oil consumption in their motors because of the fact that pressure builds up in the crankcase on high compression/performance engines that actually pushes oil passed the rings. In those cases, they just vent the crankcase and the oil consumption is reduced to almost nothing at all. I notice the LS1 has a crankcase vent from the factory, but is it sufficient for the compression/performance applications the we build our motors up to? Maybe two seperate vents on the valve covers? or a larger existing vent? Anyone cover this already or have ideas?
