Stock it was all one piece. Replacement pumps now usually require the separate 04+ housing/t-stat

Really? My shop said he put a 160 in my car. I looked at the housing and it was old. I asked him why its old and he said he replaced the t stat itself. I never had the waterpump replaced and doubt the owner did before me. How do I tell if its a newer style vs old?

when you unbolt the 2 bolts for the tstat housing on the water pump if it has a gasket and is 1 piece its the original style, if it has a 0 ring and the t stat can pull out from the housing its the newer 04+ style
