maybe youre confused on the terminology?

why would you change the valley cover gasket when changing an intake? i changed my valley cover gasket when i changed (upgraded) my valley cover. it just so happened that i changed my intake at the same time, but changing the valley cover gasket had nothing to do with changing my intake.

maybe im a noob, but i dont see the correlation.
