Default Ls6 intake

I can just direct swap my ls1 intake for a ls6 intake correct? I don't need any new fuel rails? Or any other parts for that mater correct?

You'll have to shave off the ribs at the bottom of your LS6 intake so it clears the steam vent tubes. Also, it doesn't have a provision for EGR, but most people just delete it.

Just a straight swap. Theres a write up on ls1howto.com and look it up on YouTube, there's a couple of guys who go over it step by step.

Tuning is always gonna grab you more ponies but its not worth the cost for just that one mod. Id wait for the tune until you get more mods.

So a mail order would do it? I have lid. Headers. Full exhaust. Ported tb. And then an intake. None of which have been tuned in yet

Yea, after you are all done with your mods send your PCM to get tuned by Frost who is a member of this site. You fill out a form of all the mods you have and he'll tune your PCM for you.

http://www.tunedbyfrost.com/

Here is a pic of the bottom of the LS6 intake. The red highlighted part should be removed...

And here is a vid of my install of the intake. Part one is no longer available but in the video below (part 2) skip to 1:24 to see a bit of how I did it on mine...

Ok guys I got a little problem. I picked up a ls6 intake for 250 bucks and did everything blah blah. Well the intake I got came off a c5. There are no brass fittings for the fbody tb cable bracket only empty holes that do nothing. How do I get the brass fittings out of the ls1 intake? Or do I really need this bracket? If it is not necessary I will just put the tb on and be done for the night an just find some brass sleeves at the store in the future. What do I do????

Nvm last post got it figured out. But now there is a brand new oil pressure sender that reads 0 on dash. Car runs really rough. Like REALLY rough as in I don't want to start it. I scanned it for codes and only throwing egr which I was before. Could the injectors not be seated all the way? I don't remember how far down they were before

Ok I think I found the problem. Passenger side rear section of valve cover has a tube coming out of it. The rubber hose that goes on top of that got pulled off probably when I put the intake back on but I wasn't paying attention to this. When I went to put it back on it crumbled from being 13 years old. So I will replace that. Is that probably the culprit? The car was running like it has a cam which it has the stock one. It seems that it was shaking so much that the water pump now leaks I had to replace the oil pressure switch because the old one broke on removal of ls1 intake. I put the new one in and the harness was a pita to plug into the new one and now there is no pressure on the gauge. But I will recheck that when I fix the hose. When I just turn the key on it doesn't cycle with the rest of the gauges. It does move a tiny bit though. Please give me some feedback and I will try again tomorrow

That hose is the pcv line. You'll need to get that replaced. Did you torque down the opsu to the correct spec??

There are torque specs for the bolts and they are supposed to be tightened in a certain sequence for proper setting of the intake gaskets. Hope you don't have a leak somewhere after you start it up.
