Exclamation Good place to put an aftermarket temp gauge sensor

The leftover blocked off hose after the tb bypass.... There is coolant there right? Could you just stick a hose barb in there and screw in the sending unit to the female end of the barb?? I expect one would likely have to find an adapter or 2, but could it really be that simple???? I want one but dont want to fool with the heads or drilling the waterpump etc.. Anyone done this?

you lost me... you remove both hoses from the tb then connect them with a coupler. you then use 1/4" caps on the tb. what hose is left over?

The previous owner didnt connect them I guessing, just blocked off both hoses.. At any rate I could just get a new, much longer piece of hose and reconnect it all back together, splice a T fitting into it and run the sensor into the T. Why wouldnt that work?
