Default Install the umi body mount TA or get duals

I bought a UMI body mounted tunnel brace with torque arm (PN#UMI2200) last month and its still in the box, I now want TSP duals cause my exhaust sounds like **** with all the rasp. Would it be more beneficial to just install the torque arm and look for a better catback or just not use that torque arm and maybe get a transmission mounted TA and go true duals.

Typically, the catback isn't what makes all off the rasp. The merge on the y-pipe is the biggest contributor. You can take it to an exhaust shop, and have a new merge put into the y-pipe.

For example:

I know it isn't exactly what you asked, but it may end up saving you money, getting rid of your rasp, and giving you no issues with your torque arm setup. If you search, there tons more threads too.

True duals can be done with the umi chassis mount, just needs fab work and it's a tight fit. I did it with a Jegs x pipe and a bunch of 3" mandrel bends.
