Default Newer SLP lids fitment?

So are the newer slp lids that are getting sold now fitting better? Anybody bought a new slp lid recently that can tell me how the fitment is on the back?

I bought one back in February -- fits fine in the rear, but the front gives my passenger side tab has difficulty staying locked.

Once in awhile one of my locking tabs unlocks. Other than that the fit is fine. My lid is about 5 years old.

I don't know how old the one on my WS6 is as I bought it with it, but I bought one for my Z28 back in the day and it seemed to fit just okay. The notorious passenger lock tab was never an easy clip, but the Pass. clip on my WS6 will not close at all and also has pretty shitty fitment in the rear. Considering a Fast Toys lid just to have something to compare it to but that's just me lol

I have had two of them on different cars. They were really tough to get on the MAF, but once they were fully seated they fit fine. If you've had a bad experience, though, I wouldn't go buy another one. I'd search the classifieds for some other kind of lid.

Plug is for the AIR system...I have the newer lid on my 2001 SS...fits great, as long as you make sure you get the front of the lid behind the front of the base, like its supposed to be. I used to have trouble with the clamps at first, until I realized the lid is supposed to fit just like the stock one, behind the front of the base. Fits perfect after you figure this out!

Agree. My lid was purchased in February and fits just like the stock one. I haven't had a single issue with it - including rubbing the bottom of the hood that some do. 2002 WS6.
