Default Should i swap to a ls6 intake???

I currently have a 99 TA with H/C/I 150shot, it had the weiand lingenfelter aluminum intake on it with a bbk 80mm tb. Would i gain anything to switch to a ls6 intake? Im not trying to start a heat soak debate but when i first drove the car it had ls6 on it and felt alot better, plus this intake stays HOT!!! forever. I went out with a few other cars two weeks ago and after a little racing we went back to a buddys house, after bs'n for awhile (2hrs) i popped the hood and the intake still felt 200*, you could barely touch it, while all the other cars with ls6 intakes where cooled off and didn't burn the hand at all. Just can't decide if its worth switching.

No real gain, but if it makes you feel better then put the LS6 intake back on it.
You have to remember you intake was probably still hot because of the heat transferred from the block and heads into the intake, I bet you heads and block were probably cooler then theirs.

In your case, the only intake worth switching to would be a fast intake.

That intake isnt too bad. The ls6 is better but not worth the trouble.

I would keep it, the LS6 would be a marginal downgrade

"Worth it" is relevant. It will gain from porting, the key is to keep the cost down so you arent running the same cost as you would upgrading to a FAST

Exactly. By the time you port your intake, you will probably have fast money wrapped up in it and still be making less power than the same setup equipped with a fast intake.

Will the fast intake handle the nitrous? If i were to get a fast would the 102 be best option or the 92? Also how do vic jr. intakes compare?
