Default could bad 02's cause high rpm stumble?

like the title states. I know my O2's are bad because my tuner checked them and they are toast. I took the car out for a spin last night and cruised it at 65 most of the night but then I got a little happy and I floored it. well, above 5k it seems to begin to choke a bit and kind of sounds like some popping going on. It also seems to get slower when all this is happening.
This issue came about when I swapped trannys for an LS1 style 4L60E with a TCI torque converter. So Im wondering if the issue is related to the engine or maybe it has something to do with the tranny. What you guys think?

o2s are ignored at wot. i'd assume it's an issue with the tune or ignition.

now that you guys mention it....the plugs are the ones that came with the engine and the wires i got from a friend who took them off at 170k miles.... I hope thats all it is. Keep the solution cheap. As soon as I get some cash Ill get some new ones. I was just worried it had something to do with the trans since it happened but that couldve been coinsidence.

I have a used pair of the extended vette sensors laying around if you need new em. But it sounds like a spark issue. Bad O2 sensors usually cause lean/rich, idle and mpg issues.

^ If you get wires, get some MSD's. Lots of satisfied customers on here. Taylors are one time use, FYI..

yeah I was thinking of getting the msd/ngk kit. I just checked them to make sure they were installed tight and they seem fine. I wanna get the kit anyway for the slight gain and to make sure they are good.

Might want your local auto parts store to test your coils before using them again. They should be able to test them to make sure you're getting enough spark. If they are bad, get some lower mileage stock coils or do the truck coil pack upgrade.
