There are a ton of factors when selecting a head and cam choice. The texas speed 228r cam is a pretty solid choice for an overall dd cam. Makes great lowend power while still pulling to redline. I am going with the tsp 228r cam with stage 1 ls6 heads. Make sure you have full bolt ons before hand to allow the head/cam setup to breath so you can achieve optimal power.

DO some research on the boards here there is a ton of good info out there to help you further pick the right setup for YOU.

I would say a torquer v2 cam with stg 1 ls6 heads would get you around 440 on a dyno jet. The 228R cam is awesome as well and will give you more low end. However on the top end it will make roughly 10hp less than the T2 cam.

Also as stated about make sure you have the basics covered. ex: long tubes / off road y pipe / catback / ls6 intake / lid are a MUST. Other mods like ported tb and ud pulley can also add a few more but its your call if those are worth the money.
