Default Will stock maf work with 92mm TB?

I have a 02 camaro with a stock ls1 and i'm planning on installing a FAST 92mm intake manifold. i was hoping to save some $$$ by using the stock maf, is it possible or do i have to get a new one?

Yes it will work fine.

I recently upgraded to an 85mm GM maf with a larger mesh screen and retuned the car and have no gains to show for it. Stock is fine for at least a mild head/cam car. I would wait until you are getting serious (over 460rwhp) to worry about a MAF.

^Agreed for most mild applications the stock MAF gets the job done no problem.

You probably won't "have" to get it tuned, but you will benefit more if you do and depending on your particular car it may or may not have some idle stuff that needs adjusted to prevent it from acting strange.

Depending on mail order vs dyno tune, $150 - $400. If someone local has HP Tuners they may be able to do it for $100 just to cover the license.

From what I've heard though, MAF changes are better suited to a dyno tune over a mail tune.

Please clarify, do you mean tune for the MAF or tune for the intake?

You MUST tune for the MAF, my previous post was in regard to the intake swap itself.

Get stainless if at all possible. Even ceramic doesn't last well enough IMO.

I would be looking at Texas Speed 1 7/8" headers in your shoes.
