cutouts
Hello everyone,
I am currently saving my extra change for a future GMMG catback system. In the meantime I would like to add cutouts to my stock exhaust. I have two questions concerning this issue:
1. What average HP gain, if any, could I expect?
2. What is the best brand of cutouts?
Thanks in advance

You really only need one cutout in your Intermediate Pipe before it goes over the axle. There is a perfect place for one there. As far as power gains look for 10+ rwhp over a stock Trans Am or Z28 Muffler. If your looking for an electric cutout I would go with QTP's QTEC. I have one and it works great as long as when closing it you don't hold the toggle longer than 4 seconds and overtorque the gears which then causes it to leak. If not electric our sponsors on the right hand side have all types of cutouts.
