Pretty sure my cats are bad. Now what to do..
Well, I'm getting a groaning sound coming from directly under the car when it's cold/warming up, and it's nothing driveline related so I'm going with bad cats.. Since I don't have the money for an exauhst set up at the moment, could I just get a shop to remove the cats and weld in some piping where they went to kind of have a poor mans OR/Y pipe until I"m ready for a full setup?

I'm sure you could have something like that done and just get the SES light tuned out. That's sort of what I have going on right now, except I was stupid and spent the money on an O/R Y for the stock manifolds. However, I will say that if I knew back then what I know now, I would have just waited a while and drove around on the bad cat until I could have headers.

you can gut the current cats .drill some holes ,1"and stick a big screw driver in and scramble, break and pull out the debire .weld some patches over the holes.it will be louder ,but cool sounding.

Good ideas guys, I'm probably going to go the gutted route. I got no problem with louder haha. Anything else needed to be done? Would it throw an ses light or screw with the o2's when I gut them?
