Angry Broke the 102

Was doing the pre-install set up like is says to do. Drill out the MAP hole and RTV the back sel area. After that it says to put it back together and torque the bolts to 70-89 inch pounds.. so i figured 80 inch pounds should be enough. Broke the bottom half of the intake aand didnt even get to 80 inch pounds.. I will post a pick tomorrow. I am quite angry at this.

I would definitely return to the vendor. And I would think they would have no problem standing behind their product by replacing it and satifying the customer.

But OP mentioned that the intake broke when tightening the upper shell to the lower, correct? And for 70-89, I think I did 78 or 75 in/lbs. Somewhere in the middle.

YES, it is. Need the pan heads.. Or else you'd notice that the intake wasn't sitting on the heads all the way........... Hopefully.
