Default can you use two driver side heads?

i recently picked up an lq4 and a set of 706 heads. i only wanted the lq4 but i drove 2.5 hours to pick it up and he wouldnt let the engine go without the heads so i said hell ill buy the heads, port them, then sell them. i was just sorting out the piles of parts i have in my garage ready to sell more stuff, and i took a close look at the heads i just bought and they both had ect sensors and same numbers on the inside. im not sure if he knew that he had two driver side heads or not but i started thinking and it shouldnt matter if you have two driver side heads on one engine right? i have no clue so im just guessing here but can someone please let me know so i can contact him and return these heads. thanks

Hope you have 2 drivers side headers to run too.

On a serious note I believe the headers are interchangeable. But I'm not 100% sure but I have a strong feeling they are.

You absolutely CAN NOT run two driver side heads on one engine.

He don't know **** about what he's taking about though. He thought they were Corvette heads lol. I'm not sure if the manifolds would work i do have a mockup. Big bird, can you please explain to me why they won't work? They both look exactly the same. If they won't work I'm getting my damn money back.

Why can't you? I'm looking at a some 241s in my room and they look exactly the same so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

yes you can run two drivers heads. gm made the heads interchangeable from side to side. the 243's i got for my car were both from the drivers side. and 10k later its all fine just make sure you block up the coolant hole on the one youre using for the pass side

The heads are identical. There's no such thing as "drivers side" heads. Pull out the coolant sensor, install a plug and you'll have a passenger side head.

Wow I stand corrected!! I ALWAYS thought you couldn't swap the heads to the opposite side from which they came from. I have actually been told that from some what I thought to be knowledgeable people around my area.

I learned something today.

With two driver's heads, the car will want to turn left.

This is correct. Anyone who suggests otherwise gets their tech card revoked

Actually, if you use two driver's side heads you'll need two drivers to drive the car.

you can use two driver side if you want but one of them will have to go on the passengers side.
