Default Any benefits by doing this to exhaust?

I took the left exhaust tip off of my SLP LM exhaust because it gets rid of the 75-85 MPH drone. Is there any advantage or disadvantage by doing this? I would think it gets rid of more back pressure and have better flow. Any input?

I highly doubt that will do much. The LM1/LM2's are pretty nice flowing catbacks right off of the shelf anyways.

It looks fugly, I won't lie. BUT it got rid of the drone and it sounds better. If it doesn't hurt anything then I'll keep it that way for now.

I'd at least put a short 90* bend on it so the exhaust is shooting towards the rear.

I forget Poiseuille's law exactly but change in pipe diameter has an exponentially greater effect on resistance than a change in length does, especially considering you're only taking off 1/12 of the length or so. The lack of drone is the only benefit. As mentioned it does look terrible though (no hate).
