OR-Y for Factory Manifolds
I have an OR-Y that bolts up to my '01. For my '98, the few I have looked at are stating this: "NOTE: Will fit 1998-99 models - Requires cutting and welding." Any idea what cutting/welding has to be done? Also, is there an OR-Y that bolts up to the manifolds on a '98, no cutting/welding? Thanks.

Those early manifolds kinda suck. A pair of 2000 manifolds
& cats would let you keep EGR and have better gas flow,
and fit the pipe (not that you should expect anything from it,
as far as performance - just some loss of ground clearance).

This should bolt right up, kind of pricey though. I have the same setup on my car as you're trying to run (catback, O/R Y) and it was the worst mistake I have made with the car, wish I had just waited a little longer for more cash and bought some LT's with it.
