Q about AIR removal - read the sticky
The guide I followed when I removed my AIR system mentioned nothing about plugging a vacuum line. Can someone give me a specific instructions on how to do this, or better yet a pic of what needs to be plugged. I have a 2000 if that matters.
Thanks
Thanks

im not sure to what years it applies to, but on my 01, there was a little plastic pump-looking thing on top of the drivers side valve cover (near the back), where all the hoses meet up. on the top it has a small vacuum line, that is th one you need to plug. hopefully someone else will explain it better than i can

The AIR pump is located under the front bumper behind a panel, just remove the panel, you will see the AIR pump and take it off. Then trace out the hoses and pull all of them off. Makes for a nice clean engine bay.

OK if you look at that pic closely you'll see that the hose is attached to the end of the soleniod there with the plug. Take off that hose and forget about it. What you want to track down is the other vacuum line attached to that soleniod. That line goes to the rear of the intake to a tee where another small vacuum line and your booster vacuum line connect. You can even plug the end of the hose that connects to the soleniod or plug off the T. I plugged off the T. It appears that some of the earlier f-bod do not have the same vacuum configuration as the later ones and some don't have a T as said. Then you can remove the AIR junction & soleniod (as in your picture) and the actual pump that tucked under your left front fender.
