Default Ticking sound coming from underneath the car

I have a weird ticking sound. Sounds like it favors the passenger side. Maybe by the header. Anyone have any ideas?

yeah, i hope its just normal. we checked for leaks when I installed them but maybe something got loose. That was a month and a half ago. I never noticed it before because I ran with my cutout open but now I capped it (for the very reason so i can listen for stuff like this) Could it be a lifter or something? Thanks.

It could be engine related, but I can almost bet you just have something under there that needs to be adjusted. I've heard weird sounds from exhaust leaks, from ticking to my favorite--my friends SS that sounded like he had a whistling turbo lol.

Yes there are couple of methods for checking exhaust leaks.Try to feel the air comming out from the leak with your hand.also if your hand cant get the the spot try using a paper or somthing and look for it moving from the air leak.

Just cheched all my clamps this afternoon (60 lb-ft) and it still has a slight tick. I also did a quick check on my header bolts too. It could be my imagination. I am going to check my spark plugs tomorrow and give the header bolts a more accurate torqing.

if you already checked your clamps and think that there might be a leak here....try wrapping some metallic tape around the joints. It might not look pretty, but who the hell looks underneath there anyway?

I look under there all the time. LOL I was actually talking on my cell under there as I was wiping off the little bit of rust on my primaries and welds. Took pictures of the underneath too. I was actually planning to use the tape next time to see if that does anything. Thanks.

I had the similiar problem, I found that my #8 plug was loose(after header install). Take a look at that.

aluminum foil folded several times will close up a small leak where a band clamp is located...can't see it either...
