Its an auto, ls1, kooks headers, it's enough clearance almost 2ft. No I did not disconnect the steering shaft but I don't think that's in the way

my pacesetter required I disconnect the steering shaft
I had no need to remove moter mount
I suppose you have removed the plugs?
where/how are you hanging up, If I remember correctley some are having problems with some brand headers getting by a not/ bump/ some thing sticking out on one side of block which must be
ground/cut off ( does not cause any problem if cut off)
going to guess this is problem

good luck

I was able to get my TSP 1-7/8 in with only having to remove the oil filter. Height was the biggest advantage when I did the install. If you have it 2 feet off the ground that should be plenty. Try to have someone hovering over the engine with a light to see if they can spot where it is hanging up.

When I installed my pacesetters on my 98, I had to bang up the firewall a bit to fit it in...

Very odd, it might help just to get a second pair of eyes to look over everything with you. I have found that height is definitely a key factor on how easy they go in.

with a stock k-member kooks 1 7/8 headers don't like to go in without taking the steering shaft out/ grinding the k-member a little. with my tubular k-member went right up and in no problems at all. like stated above the higher the car off the ground the better, get th headers almost completly vertical and they will go in
