Default Just installed motor and t56 and

I go to crank it and its a big GRINDDDDD!!!!! at first it turned the motor over but didnt turn on.... now its just grinding.... I have switched 3 starters already so its not the strarter... the flywheel looks good from what i can see... what can be causing it to grind? I about to pull the trans out and try re-installing clutch ... but Ive never had a issue with it.

Any help is greatly appreciated

What engine is it? My only thought is it is an older 6.0 with the long crank.

pulled bellhousing and clutch off.... Looks like the clutch was not installed correctly .... cause the trans was a B**** to seperate from the bellhousing..... and the "new Pilot Bearing" is trashed..... Im assuming my helper was not aware how to install a clutch.....But took the starter to Vato Zone and exchanged it for a new one... time for attempt 2

Problem fixxed!!!!! The little wire (I believe the ignition wire) was hanging on a couple of wires.. clipped off the little terminal deal, put a new one on and fired right up!!!!
