Actually the uncoated will dissipate more heat I believe by not keeping the heat in the headers. Either way the performace gain between uncoated and coated is so small I've never seen any chassis dyno's that could show a gain or loss either way on our cars. I have the uncoated headers and they do rust but it will be a long time before they rust thru. Coatings will evetually wear off and they will rust also if the car is a daily driver. The only way to prevent rust is to get stainless steel headers.
In the end I was glad I saved the few hundred dollars on not getting them uncoated because there were no affordable stainless steel headers at the time. If I had to do it over again I would get stainless headers though.
