Default 99 Z28 Fast Intake ?'s

Hi Guys,

It's about that time to shoot for 5xx WHP with my LS1. Picking up a FAST 92/92 soon, and need to know what else to swap in process. Currently I have an LS6 intake, and I just clearanced the bottom of the intake for the cooling lines. I was told you need the LS6 cooling lines to run the FAST 92. Is that true? Also, I was told I need 'low profile cover bolts.' Where could I find these bolts, and how many do I need?

Thanks.

well if you want 5xx rwhp then you have alot to do. read this
http://guerragroup.com/2000TA.htm

and there are plenty other threads about it on LS1tech. read those first. it is gonna be expensive. you could spend half as much and hit 450rwhp. much more attainable.

Forced induction is the route I'm going to take to get there... But I'm starting my build starting from the rear, then the auto trans, then the motor.

for a FAST 90/92 you do not need low clearence bolts, only the FAST 102 does. now the coolant lines i would say you do require them, but i am sure someone on here has found a way (if there is one) to use the LS1 crossover.

now you would probobly get a better response in the forced induction center regaurding 500+rwhp

If you're spending the money might as well get the 102. That requires a whole lot more stuff tho.

So I can use all my factory intake bolts with the FAST 92 and have no issues?

I use my factory intake bolts with fast 102, now the valley cover bolts, those are the bolts that you need to use the low clearance one

Out of curiosity, what cam and heads you have to make 470? Im on cell, cant see sig. Sorry

Oh and for the coolant lines, if you already have the ls6 intake then you should be fine, you probably have to tap the front coolant cross over with a rubber mallet if you use fast 102( i dont know abt fast 92), but you shouldn't have any problem at all
