Default where do i find 02 camaro exhaust manifold / header bolts

I am pulling off my exhaust manifold bolts right now, every once in a while my socket slips the bolt and is starting to strip. I know I will be able to get them off but are there any places where I can look for stainless bolts or just replacement bolts for backup?

They are 10mm on my car... I have searched.. can't find replacement bolts except for the local dealer.

Most of the sponsors on here should have some header bolt kits. If you are doing headers I suggest some sort of locking fastener like a stage 8 head bolt kit.

ws6 store for header bolts and just fyi the heads on the new bolts are bigger than old stock ones. I used them and they are great.

Senicalj4579 Is the thread bigger or just the bolt head? Do most people put new bolts in with new headers? I just ordered some kooks LT's they should be coming soon...

Thanks badazz81z28

Most headers come with new bolts (They should). The header bolts are the same thread/pitch as OEM they just actually shorter than OEM bolts.

The heads are bigger. Threads are fine.
I had to buy a new set so I ordered from ws6 store. They got here and the heads were bigger. I called ws6store and they told me thats what they sell for the lsx motors now. They work fine.

Also, IDK what bolts come with every brand header but if they are anything like pacesetter header bolts then dont bother. Use stock bolts. I would prob always use stock bolts anyway.

You def don't want to use exhaust manifold bolts on Headers. They will surely bottom out. The heads on my header bolts are like 12mm vs the stock 10mm.

go to lowes.. buy some
or order from McMaster Carr
or you can get them from summit racing
http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...ize/8mm-x-1-25

m8 x 1.25mm
25mm long
you may be able to use a longer bolt as well, I dont know how deep the heads are threaded off hand... but stock length is 25mm

My manifold bolts are 30mm UHL. 20-25mm sounds right for headers.

I actually have washers with stock bolts on the current car with ARH. Couple years ago I had pacesetters on the car which I used washers with stock bolts as well.
On my 98 I used stock header bolts with no washers with dynatech and the bolts were not to long.
