Default 1998 Z28 starting troubles

I have a 98 Z28 with about 94000 miles on it. The past week it's been having trouble starting on occasions. Usually in the mornings when it's about 30 degrees. It would take longer to start and when it does it idles very high and pulses the throttle as if someone was giving it gas. Today it started and took a while to do so, then it idled at 1500 and kept pulsing to 2000 rpm. The car is stock as far as I know. The battery gauge has also been running high so I don't know if that has anything to do with it so.... And it's an auto. Thanks!

have you gave it a tune up latey?? and i would check MAF sensor maybe clean it up a bit.. a bad reading from the MAF could cause idle to go crazy on startup
