I have mine in the defrost vent in the pillar. You don't really notice it - I HATE those big stupid tachs and shiftlights people have on their dashes, and wanted something hidden. You could put it in the vent, but in the defrost it is pointing right at me and to me positions well. I just cut out the fins and stuck mine in, it fits snug, as in it won't fall out, but is easy to pull out. If for some reason you push it in and it falls behind, just remove the pillar and put it back in. I ran the wires under the dash from the bay, and ran the power wire right to the side fuse panel.

See I was thinking to put it in the center vent above the radio. I don't like the big TACHS either that's why I wanted a small shift light. I've seen the defrost vent spot. Uneverknow do you have a picture of where yours is at in the vents above the radio?

I'll take some pics and get them posted up here for you, ill try to get it done tonight

Thanks Uneverknow.
Its not exactly about hiding it its more about keeping the interior clean. I want to keep the interior as clean and stockappearing as possible. I don't just like having it strapped to the a-pillar or the dash or any other place. But thats justmy personal preference.

Ok guys well I Took your advise and pulled the trigger on the shift light Frost sells. Thats on the way. Well I designed a custom mount for it that I am gonna have made here soon. Let me know what you think. This is gonna be in my center vent above the radio. It willstill let air flow by but still hold the shift light. Sorry for the pictures being backwards. Usedthecamera on the computer to take them. lol

"The G-Shift 10
The Racetronic G-Shift 10 is a highly accurate Microprocessor controlled digital shift light that uses
embedded software to calculate engine RPM and the appropriate shift light response.
Designed as a driver aid to pre-warn of the need to up-shift to the next gear the Racetronic G-Shift 10
removes the need to continually glance at the tachometer to judge the next gear change. When the
user defined RPM has been reached the shift light brightly flashes within the driver’s vision to signal the
final shift RPM has been reached.
Using a Racetronic digital shift light not only allows the driver to shift gears more accurately and gain a
competitive edge but augments safety by allowing the driver to keep attention to the track."
It's amazing how much bullshit and fluff someone can put in to say a light comes on at a predetermined RPM that you set.
