Default what is my new fuel pressure?

So I dropped in a granatelli fuel pump in my fbody that I bought off summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/grn-gm722-2

I'm also running a fuel filter with a built in regulator that looks just like this

my question is what should my fuel pressure at the rail be?

I installed a gauge that sits on the rail but everytime I prime the system it reads past 100psi. Now I'm hoping this is a faulty gauge because the corvette regulator should be keeping that pressure at 58lbs no? Does the location of the regulator/filter matter because it is located close to the back of the car in my application. Someone give me some helpful feedback.

Default

Verify gauge is good, verify lines are installed correctly (in/out) on the filter unit, check lines aren't plugged or internally damaged, and check tank return fitting for pluggage.
