Should I just take it to a shop?

I had to massage the 4 inch Mufflex single outlet ( Maganflow ) that I installed on my TA.

Not to mention massage the floor board between the drive shaft and floor on the right side.

Once all the B S was done, sounds good.

I have the same kit, had to adjust it and put different hangers. It fits great now and doesnt rub. I also cut some of the tail pipe off as it hung low.

I have the 4" w/ a magnaflow muffler and the fit does suck (bought new maybe 3 years ago). I have had it to the muffler shop a couple times. One place butchered even more. I still fight with it. The driver side bracket was way off, not sure what they were thinking. Pipes didn't fit. You couldn't tighten it up enough and it kept coming apart. I have a larger CI motor so I wanted the flow.

I've put on a few of these and have a 4" on my 85.

You're not just going to fit it together, tighten the clamps and call it a day. The pipes are slip fit, which means there is a lot of adjustment possible. All the pipes and muffler will need to be perfectly adjusted, and that takes time. Nothing should be clamped down until everything is lined up.

I have a FULLY 304 stainless 3.5", single outlet turndown, system which they made up for me.

They also installed it in person at their shop, so there were NO fitment problems at all.

They even redid, and welded the tailpipe to the Magnaflow 'motorhome muffler' (the ONLY non-304 part of the system) because the 304 stainless Borla XR1 I originally had them install was making my ears ring. (YES, even with stock manifolds/downpipes/catcons. Some of you with these Pro Stock LOUD systems/cutouts/etc. are DEFINITELY going to need some very good/expensive hearing aids IF you make it to 50, so be warned. ).

I am VERY happy with their work, and the current sound of this exhaust.

What did they charge for the install? I'm only 20mins from them and thought about having them do it.

You know, I do not remember what the labor only charge was, but you can call them.

I wanted this system on the car from new, as I like the stealth, tucked up, big single turndown look on 4th gen Camaros, but back then they were reluctant to do an all 304 setup (I DID NOT WANT aluminized on a year round, ALL weather/conditions, daily driven car), and EVERYONE was raving about how the SLP TOTL system made the absolute MOST power of any of the aftermarkets, so I went with that even though I HATED the way it looked.
It was the only other system (save for the factory one) on this car until the Mufflex, unlike others on here who change exhausts like I change skivvies.

BTW; I just moved two towns over from you (New Hope, on the west side of 202), and am now an official Pennsyltuckian. (Have to change sig/avatar location.)
