Default TDs Over Axle- PICSs & Short Video

Here is my new exhaust setup. Love this system! Pics aren't the best but they were still in the middle of the install and I just snapped a few on my phone before I had to go back to work. Ground clearance is excellent, I will finally be able to lower the rear with TDs, can't wait to see the car lowered on all four corners again.

This is all mandrel bent 3" pipe, Thunderbolt cats, Classic Chambered medium powersticks and 3" Classic Chambered short resonators with 3.5"corsa clones.

Ha ha I guess I will just have to cross that bridge when I get there. Not planning on having to anytime soon. I guess I would cut just before it went over the axle and would have to get it welded back up. It is all butt welded so it would match back up pretty easy.

I like it! I am thinking about doing the same thing. The clip sounds great at idle. But how loud is it? What does it Sound like in the cab? How does it run? What did you have before? How much cam & Hp?

The sound in the cab is actually very tame. It doesn't drone at all. You can carry on a conversation with someone when cruising. Now if you are accelerating you might want to tell them to wait a second, ha ha. The sound a WOT is unlike anything I have heard in all the systems I have had on this car, and I have had a lot, but this is by far my favorite. It is hard to describe. Loud, yes, but a deeper more refined tone, not exotic refined, but a muscle car refined. If that makes any since. But I also have cats which in my opinion helps the sound.

I was running TDs under the axle with Borla ProXS mufflers, which I liked very much also.

Looks pretty much identical to mine. I have the powersticks also and my resonators welded to the tips just like that. Did you fell any performance improvement?

Your thread was my inspiration, ha ha. Mine is slightly different with the cats and being all mandrel, but identical other than that. No real performance gain that i could feel but i didnt do it for that anyway. Just wanted a top quality exhaust.

Looks good...but flanges before the axle would've been a great idea if/when you need to remove it

Yea the mandrels and the cats are the difference. I really debated on the cats. I did not do mine for power but for quality of sound, it was just a perk for a little more power.

That sounds amazing! I'm about to change my current setup. I have an xpipe with a pair of SLP Loudmouth II mufflers dumped, that I'm changing for the Powersticks soon and have them dumped with turndowns.

OP, I see you're in North Little Rock. What area? Never seen you're car around. I'm stationed at the AFB in Jacksonville. Did APE do the work? They've done all my stuff and they have been great,
