Default [Video] I want a quiet muffler and/or resonator (cam, headers, no cats)

Video below

Right now I have a 2-1/2' dynomax bullet in the I-pipe and some kind of knock off 40 series or something. It sounds good, but too aggressively loud, kinda like a late model oval race car.

The other day a sweet red widebody c6 passed by in oncoming traffic and had a mellow super deep tone that sounded sexual. I realize he may have 75ci bigger motor and will be the cause of some of the lower frequency. I don't know if I can replicate that noise with my car, but I want to know what direction to look into for choices to get close.

Anyone have any quiet muffler sound clips with similar mods?

****...I love blowing past vets....sending shock waves of sweet thunder throughout their whole car/body with my duals. That's the only way to rock an ls1 man..One of the only cars that sound good obnoxiously loud

I love the thunder too, but it's time to quiet her down. Cut-outs will probably be put in later on.

I have long tubes, no cats, moroso spiral race muffler and hooker cat back. I just added the moroso to quiet it down and it worked great. Does eat some power but plan to add a cut out for race needs. Hope that helps.

I also have other exhaust videos loaded on youtube

I have a flowmaster catback and added a Powerflow muffler in the I pipe. Still not satisfied and cut off the flowmaster tips and put 3" turndowns on (Jegs). finally like the sound. No rasp and the turndowns deepened the tone and cut down on loudness.

Got a link to the powerflow in the i-pipe? I just did a quick link on their site, but the inlet sizes I found were 2".
