Default flowtech header question

where the flange and the header meet, they are not flush, the header sticks out farther than the flange does...seems like a never ending leak waiting to happen..would grinding the header flush with the flange work, and prevent leaking?
thanks for any help..

If you're talking about the flange at the head, my Pacestters were the same way. When they seat the primary surface is what seals against the head, not the entire flange. That's just how they are designed.
