Jet Hot ORY!
I got my Jet HOt LT's and Ory pipe today. I should have done a little more researching before buying , because i think i would have went with a Hooker ORY. The Jet Hot Ory comes in pieces. Anyone know if where these pieces come together they will stay tight enough and not leak?

It's a crappy situation. If you use u-clamps, once you tighten'em down you can never take the pipes apart again. And band clamps just seem to never get a complete seal. i wish they would come out with band clamps that had like an extra tongue on one side so they would overlap. kinda hard to describe. reg band clamp .___. my version .___._ (both lying flat) Can you see where the extra tongue would tuck in?

RTV is basically a 'goo' that is commonly used to help seal two surfaces. It can be used alone in certain applications, or in addition to a standard gasket (we've used it a lot intakes, timing covers, valve covers, etc on older motors). Hell, most of the leaks on my brother's old camaros are sealed with just RTV In this case, you would just smear a little around the pipe before you slid it into the other pipe and clamped it.

I would only use the stainless band band calmp. I have had alot of problems with the ORY backing off of the collector. I think this is due to my cat back though... it was welded incorrectly the first time and now it pulls the ORY off every month or so. Were the pieces of the y come together I have never had a problem with it leaking.
