Default NAPA Radiator

So, I wanted to do the LT1 radiator upgrade, but I see the GM part number for the LT1 is pretty much just an LS1 radiator with the 7/8" core. PN 52466004.

So, I looked at NAPA and both the LT1 and LS1 are the same radiator PN NR 2938. But the core is a bit different. It measures 24 3/4" x 17 1/4" x 1 1/4". Stock LS1 is 24 7/8" X 17 1/8" X 7/8". So the NAPA is slightly narrower, but is taller and thicker. And it's $140.

Anybody run it? How does it fit? Does it actually cool better?

NAPA stuff is usually decent quality. I have to pull the radiator for the H/C install anyway, so I figure I'll just flush the block and put a new radiator in.

Mine works well and it was pretty easy to install. Engine now runs 10-15 degrees cooler than before.

Do yourself a favor, save $25 and order one from Radiator Barn. Their site is under construction so just give 'em a call. Mine was $114.95 shipped.

NAPA is priced differently at different stores. It's stupid. If I'm willing to drive 20 miles I can get it for 109. Really?
