Default Father Son and College.. Opinions

Okay here's the deal. I want to spray my car before college this fall I was looking into the dynotune wet plate and wanted to shoot the 100 shot pill. I was thinking after a good tune and the kit I would be at about 1000 bucks after everything. I was not going to do a window switch or a heater blaket as of now. So my question is, is my dad right saying its gonna cost more then that? Would you guys do? And truly how realiable is an ls1 with nitrous? Thanks in advanced

Well it depends on the kit that you are buying, what other accessories, new or used, mail order tune or dyno tune, etc...Need some detail here man lol Why no bottle heater or window switch? Bottle heater is almost essential IMO, ans so is a window switch if it's a manual. That's just my opinion of course. With your mods, a good tune, proper plugs and fuel, and a 100 shot...it will be very reliable and safe on your LS1

1000 seems like a decent price for everything. you can get a complete used kit from the classifieds for 4-500 depending the kit. IMO you should run a window switch.

This is the exact kit I was looking at
http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=332

It's an auto so I wasn't planning on getting a window switch.
I was gonna get a bottle heater and remote bottle opener later.

I was def going to do the correct plugs and I wanted to get a dynotune from speed inc

My dad keeps saying that I can do what I want but also keeps saying that I'm gonna have way more money into it then the kit and tune. And it feels like hes putting a guilt triip on me almost lol Which I can understand. But it's still way cheaper for the same power as a hci and only using it when I need it.
I also understand that I would need to do a fuel pump and hot wire kit soon after original installation.
I was also thinking today if I just went with a dry 75 which is only $350 and I can always upgrade the kit to a wet plate later. I'm really torn I just want to do a 100 shot and be done till after college! Lol

IMO, go with a nice 3000-3600 stall TC for now.

If you want to do this the cheaper way (no bottle heater, no timing retard, etc...) you can do it for under a grand for sure. BTW i'd just do the wet kit instead of the dry. You will have to do bigger injectors with the dry kit

I would def retard timing and do plugs. I need it reliable for the next 4 years but want to get some more power down.
