Default 1 3/4 primary to 1 7/8

I currently have hooker 1 3/4 inch primary LTs...I will either be putting in a 383 or 395 stroker ...Will there be, if any, a significant HP or TQ increase if I go to a 1 7/8 inch primary?..

I personally dont think so. My roomate CJ (guess who) has a 408 and just ran a 6.1 at 111mph at abilene this weekend. Im sure he will do a 5.x in Denton this thursday. He is still using 1 3/4 grot's. So I would say unless you are going for 8's stick with the 3/4's

I'm running 1 7/8's on a 346 H/C car.

I went 11.54 @ 115 stock internals with the same headers...

If you have the extra money go for it. If not don't, the 1 3/4 will flow good too

i'm changing over from some mac's to Kook's 1 7/8" with the all bore motor that's going in my car. i couldn't tell ya if there will be a difference in your case, but i'm pretty sure there would be in mine. i'm with the, "if you have the extra money go for it" group.

With that big of a motor I bet the 1 7/8's would help. I am running Kooks 1 7/8 stepped to 2" on my car and I only have a little 348 but I plan on making ALOT of exhaust PSJ is also running the same headers I have on his Blown 348 and it seems to make pretty good power
