Apologies for the delay. Today I threw in some TR6's gapped @ .045 and a 160* T-Stat.

Had a chance to caliper the TSP 1 7/8" primaries.

All across the board, a solid 1.875. That's 1 /78"

No pics. Kinda thought you guys would take my word

Yeah, pretty much not going to doubt TSP

I'd be interested to know the gauge, too.

Dr whigam, if I remember correctly when you say "Tuned by Geoff @ EPS - 452 / 417 Retune June 20th - New #'s coming..." you are talking about retuning after your exhaust upgrades, correct? Just the headers and true duals or more than that? Not sure if anyone else is interested but I certainly am..... keep us posted.

Shameless plug- https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...ps-tune-3.html

New 42# injectors, a clutch worth a ****, and a 255 Racetronix.

I had the 42#'s last time, but one was dead, so we tuned with the stock 28.8's. this is just the final WOT tuning.

Sorry OP

Ask if they'll be willing to refund you the return shipping fee if you receive them and find the primaries to be 1-5/8". Just ensure they understand that you're asking if the entire primary is 1-3/4" and not just the inlet like they are being advertised.

Doing some perusing, it looks like Speed Daddy updated their description: Piping Diameter: 1.625"

I think this is for the better. It pushes vendors to compete and put out better products or better pricing. Hopefully these eBay vendors will see that the people want a 1.75" or 1.875" primary and start producing them. Is it too much to ask for a HIgh Velocity Merge Collector with a velocity spike too?

Received my PaceSetter’s on Friday. As most of you know, these are 15g gauge mild steel rather than stainless. As one can tell from the pictures, they measure 1-3/4” primaries. The ID is impossible to get at this time as there is not a perfect spot at the flange to get a measurement as the weld needs a little “love.” Nonetheless, it measures six-hundreths less than that flanged-out eBay brands.

Just something for everyone to compare when looking at headers under $300.

No emission fittings to weld up and bungs are on the correct side:

15g ( http://www.engineersedge.com/gauge.htm ):

Couldnt wait anymore huh? They look good, thanks for the pics and the info. I have plenty of other things to attend to on the old bird, so I'm going to hold off and hope that the new Speed Engineering race ones come out soon and are what they say they are. Would love to have stainless.

Nope! I decided to just go with something that was proven for now. I have confidence that Speed Engineering will make things right on the next batch, but I wanted these on before UMI's cruise in August

I'll go stainless when I need to upgrade to 1-7/8"... that will be quite some time from now, though.

From the pic it looks like the primaries are NOT flared out at the flange like we have seen on others that claim to be 1.75 but turn out not to be. And the o2 bungs are on the inside. So it looks good, but the product wont necessarily match the picture. That makes the whole thing a crap shoot still. Did the person you spoke to sound like they knew what they were talking about?

This is unfortunately an issue. While I did not notice the flare at the flange with the picture for the DNA motoring headers, the picture did show the bungs on the correct side. Unfortunately, as you're all aware, that is not what arrived.

I'd definitely like to know if that dpt whatever brand is 1-3/4 or not, so post up if you ordered them, Rob99z28!

Just an update. We have received confirmation that they have received our headers, and are building a test fit sample as we speak. Should be another 3-4 weeks before we have them in hand. If everything is ok, then were about 4 weeks out from that point.

Thanks
Sean
