I have decided to go from the Y pipe to true duals with X pipe and bullet mufflers past axle. The problem I am having is finding a shop that can bend and install 2.5 pipe.

Does anyone know where in SE Michigan I can do this or if there is an internet site that has pipe already bent and ready to install (if possible).

Any help will be welcome.

If the shop can't bend and install 2.5" pipe, they are not worth dealing with. If its the x-pipe you are talking about, just buy a pre-made one. I got mine for $38, PM me if you want the place, I can't say the name because they are not a sponsor.

The X pipe and bullet mufflers are not a problem, I was gonna buy them first and have them installed.

I have posted this same question at a Detroit site and have gotten 2 exhaust shops and both will not do a dual cat back over the axle, claim it cannot be done.

I know it can because I have seen an internet site that sells all pieces pre fab for 1200.00. The thing is I know I can get it for less if I can find a compitent shop that can bend and attach the pipe. No luck so far in my area...

i am doing the same thing to my 01 camaro and true dual can be achieve but the biggest you can go is 2.25 pipe and both pipes have to be over the passenger side of the axle unless you do a panhard rod relocation kit then you can fit up to 3 inch true dual over the axle. there are a couple websites that sell mandrel bends and exhuast pipe like jegs.com jcwhitney.com and dynatech.com but you will have to find a place with a pipe bender and good welder to bend and weld everything up.
