Default Did I MESS UP!!!

Just got mt ASP crank pulley in & was wondering if I am going to have trouble with my alternater or other asscessories.

Should I get the overdriven alt pulley etc....

P.S. Also got a BMR Strut Towre Brace and was wondering if it helps in any way or is it just for looks??????

Thanks for input.....

I have heard of no reports on LS1s with charging issues due to pullies.

My dad put underdrive pullies (3 of them) on his old 1990 IROC and didn't run into charging issues for 5 years. Once he started to have issues, he removed the altenator pulley and everything was fine. You will have no issues.

I personally think that strut tower braces are for looks, unless you're looking to shave a 1/10 off of a lap time.

Unless you have a monster stereo, you will be fine, and no you do not need the Alt over drive pully.

Enjoy.

With an auto car you should avoid putting on the alternator pulley, other than that I have been running mine without any problems for a while.

the strut tower brace will help with twisting when you launch the car at the dragstrip. these cars twist horribly..sub frames and a strut tower brace together will help that greatly

I believe you can cure that by enlarging the hole in the TB one size larger. But, I would check the IAC to make sure it's clean and functioning properly before drilling. I mention this because my TB is being ported tomorrow and I discussed this with the guy doing the porting. I plan on buying an ASP UD crank pulley soon and had similar concerns. He told me he'd drill it if my IAC and IAC passage checked out fine. HTH

you are changing the ratio the belt turns the accysorys by using a smaller crank pully...to keep the same ratio with alt u wouold have to get the smaller pully to keep in check...same with power sterring but as needed
