LSX V's Weiand V's anything else? What do you suggest?
Hi and congratulations on such an excellent site. I have visitied this site for about 2 years but this is my first post as I only just registered. My question is
What is the best intake manifold on the market for the LS1? Is it the FAST LSX 90mm intake OR is it the Weiand cast aluminium intake OR is there something else that's even better?
The reason I'm asking is that I'm going to have a 427c.i. built very shortly and often wonderd which one is the better? Also which one is better for a standard LS1 with top end work only?
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. I would really appreciate any help at all as the LSX sounds great, as to the Weiand but I have concerns over the fact that the Weiand is cast aluminium. Is Kinsler over kill or like I said is there something else altogether that you can recommend?
Many thanks for your time and help.

With a 427c.i. I would go with the 90mm FAST intake but I would go with the TPIS 90mm T/B instead of the FAST because FAST screwed up and their T/B body doesn't match up on the outside to their intake and the TPIS does and it's cheaper too at Texas Speed for $450 plus shipping and core.

I would suggest that you wait a few months for the LS2 intakes to come out and then do a comparison between the FAST 90mm and the LS2. Overall, I have not been impressed by the quality of the FAST intake. Your best bet might be the LS2 intake. Welcome to the board as well.
