take off the t-body and you will see a small hole in the center. you will need a set of drill bits that have sizes from small to larger in order. find the smallest bit that will fit in the hole with no problems, then go one bit size bigger and drill the hole. it will not make it much bigger, but don't do too much at first. if the car still dont idle as you wish, then go to the next bit size and drill it again. keep going till you get what you want. you should not need more then two or three sizes bigger. put some grease or oil on the end of the bit before you drill, for lube. make sure all shaveings are gone before re-installing the t-body. hope this helps goodluck to ya man.

I would not worry to much about your idle switching to a converter. Now putting a cam in it would be a different story.

i was also told that the idle can be adjusted via a screw on the bottom of the TB. i think im gonna go that route first.

it uses a star bit so just make sure you have the right size bit...i ended up using my adapter for my gear wrench set to get in there and turn it up fyi but like i said you really shouldnt have any problems with the stock idle IMHO

My 2000 uses a torx. If you have access to ls1-edit...you can solve those problems without drilling the tb

Once you drill, you can't go back.
