Default Use JAAM & SSRA at the same time?

Is it worth it to use both? I'm gunna get the SSRA CAI here soon and just found out about the JAAM ram air kit. People have said while you can do both, it is redundant since air takes the path of least resistance and the air from under the car will escape through the hood scoops. Well in that case how come expensive supercars (like Lexus LFA) have multiple air intake ducts?

What I'm wondering is do both kits eliminate the effect of the other or just minimize it?
