Horrific Idle after ASP Underdrive
What happens when one trys to tighten their crank bolt while letting the crank and pulley spin at the same time?
I turned the pulley and crank about ten revolutions before I realized that the bolt didnt seem to be getting any tighter- and now my cars idle is horrible. Did spinning the pulley/crank like this mess something up?
Thanks!
Lane

Being he has a A4 I think he will need one of those tools that locks the flywheel while torquing the bolt down, get the pulley torqued down correctly and see what happens....maybe it just needs to relearn because of the pulley?

Assuming you did the right thing and disconnected the battery for the install, you have erased all your learned fuel tables that the engine does on its own. It relearns this after driving a while and you should do an idle relearn too.
